Online tutoring was a ‘thing’ before anyone had heard of Covid-19!
This method of teaching offers an efficient and highly effective way to learn. There’s no time lost in traffic trying to get to the tutor’s home, and the use of online tools makes the entire process smooth, flexible, and accessible.
With years of experience as a classroom teacher, I’ve developed strong organisational skills that I bring into every lesson. Most sessions are delivered via Zoom and supported by a range of interactive tools. Pupils can annotate texts, highlight key information, and type notes or responses in real time. Each set of lesson notes is saved and shared as a PDF, giving pupils a clear, structured record they can revisit any time.
After each lesson, I follow up with an email that includes the annotated notes and tailored practice tasks to reinforce what we’ve covered. This approach helps students consolidate their learning and continue progressing between sessions.
